Selection Criteria
Qualifications:
Undergraduate Engineering degree, preferably in Power or Energy Systems Engineering. Engineers with degrees in other relevant disciplines, i.e., Electrical Engineering, having a minimum of two years of on-the-job experience in Power or Energy Engineering are also eligible.

Level:
Entry-level fast-track employees preferably between 27-47 years, with flexibility for outstanding candidates with interrupted careers.
​
Career:
At least 3 years of technical experience in a job role directly related to Power or Energy Engineering, or 8 years in technical assignment in other related engineering specialisms.
​
Current role:
Junior supervisory or middle-management level, with job description corresponding to “deputy manager”, or “sub-divisional engineer”, etc.
​
Experience:
Field-level tasks in departments or projects, in Generating companies, Transmission companies, System Operators, Market Operators, and Regulatory or Planning organizations, in both public and private sectors.
​
Application:
Personal statement covering background and preparation for an engineering career, motivation for becoming a power sector engineer, expectations from the SAR100 program, and key contributions to society by attending SAR100, capped at 1,500 words.
​
Employer’s Letter:
Official nomination by the candidate’s employer confirming professional qualifications, job role, length of employment, and endorsing the candidate’s application.
​
Additional:
Material information that strengthens the application, including recognition or awards, and participation in activities that reflect professional commitment.​​
